Cooking Instructions

One Gyro Kit makes 4 Gyro Wraps

KIT INCLUDES

  • 2 packages of fully cooked pork pieces

  • 4 Greek style pita breads

  • 2 packages of tzatziki sauce

MICROWAVE (1200W)

  1. Remove frozen meat from package (one package [170g] will make two wraps) and place on a microwave safe plate. Microwave on high (1200W) for 1 minute 15 seconds to 1 minute 45 seconds. Break and toss meat with tongs and microwave for another 30 to 45 seconds.

  2. Defrost tzatziki sauce at room temperature for 10 minutes.

  3. Brush olive oil generously on pita bread and microwave for 15 seconds on high.

  4. Place meat and tzatziki sauce on each pita. Garnish with chopped onions, parsley, tomatoes and salad greens of your choice.

  5. Roll the gyro and wrap in foil to help hold it together, and enjoy!

STOVETOP

  1. Defrost the meat and tzatziki sauce overnight in the fridge.

  2. Pre-heat non-stick frying pan on medium.

  3. Remove thawed meat from package (one package [170g] will make two wraps) and place in the pan.

  4. Heat the meat for 3 to 5 minutes while breaking the meat apart and turning occasionally.

  5. Brush olive oil generously on pita bread and heat in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.

  6. Place meat and tzatziki sauce on each pita. Garnish with chopped onions, parsley, tomatoes and salad greens of your choice.

  7. Roll the gyro and wrap in foil to help hold it together, and enjoy!
