Bowl of sausage chili


  • 1 (500 g) pkg Marcangelo Hot Italian Sausages

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 red pepper, chopped

  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained (19 oz/540 mL)

  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed & drained (19 oz/540 mL)

  • 1 can tomato paste (5 1/2 oz/156 mL)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp dried oregano leaves

  • salt & pepper to taste

  • gluten-free bread or buns

Cooking Instructions

  1. Remove casings from sausages.

  2. Sauté sausage, onion and garlic in large saucepan over medium-high heat, breaking up meat with back of a spoon for about 5 minutes or until no longer pink.

  3. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 50 to 55 minutes.
